FAMILIES often feel they have no choice but to move into a larger house when they have outgrown their original home.

Moving is certainly one of life's most stressful experiences and it is also hugely expensive to upgrade. It costs about £40 - 60,000 to buy a house with an extra bedroom in this area and there is also stamp duty to consider, which will be about £9,000 on a £300,000 house. However, in almost every house there is loft space going to waste which could be turned into a whole extra room at very little cost - a job which could be taken care of superbly by Asset Lofts based in Hillingdon. Asset Lofts converts existing loft space, usually within ten working days, the work usually does not require planning permission and could add thousands to the value of your property. He started Asset Lofts with Jamie Mott, a builder with experience totalling fifteen years and four specialist years installing lofts. A typical loft conversion by other companies will cost about £28-£50,000 to install and, as those in the property trade will tell you, will raise the value of your house by about the same and no more. An Asset loft conversion will still give you extra space but at a much more reasonable price leaving you better off. As the company is a licensed credit broker, it can even offer you a finance deal on your new loft which could be, for example, £23.38 a week, that is less than a pack of cigarettes per day!

Your first appointment will be with an experienced estimator who will take you through all options available to you and give you a no-obligation, fixed-price quote there and then. All of Asset Loft's tradesmen are industry-qualified. They will use the existing space you have in your loft, put in a suspended floor, add walls and a door to the eaves for storage, install power points and lights and install stairs or ladders as necessary. All the work will be covered by a ten-year structural guarantee for extra peace of mind.
